STE Schelt Terminal Company

Activities


STE  operates the terminal located on the Scheldt River. This terminal is involved in the handling of the ArcelorMittal and Dillinger Hütte (GTS) products going to Dunkirk, such as slab, coils, flat products; these products are either coming in or going out by inland waterways or by sea. STE has developed a high level of expertise in the quality and productivity of the work it provides.  In 2007, the terminal was equipped with a gantry for coasters and inland waterways boats which has contributed to improve further its performance.

STE handles annually 1.5 Mt of steel products. The quay is 640 metres long with a maximum draught of 11.60 metres.  The 130 000 m2  terminal has a 50 000 m2 outside storage area and a 5 200 m2  covered storage area.
