Port handling

The leading position in the North Sea ports

ATIC Services is a major player in the field of port handling. Thus, a significant part of the coal of the Le Havre-Hamburg zone is handled in the terminals of the group. OVET BV, in which ATIC Services has a controlling interest, specializes in the handling of coal, coke, petroleum coke, ores and biomass, in its two terminals, Terneuzen and Flessingue, in the Netherlands. It also carries out the lightening of large ships, making it possible for them to continue their route upstream.

To diversify its service-offer, OVET BV has invested in covered storage, with a remarkable utilization rate. The terminal of Flessingue has a direct connection towards the North Sea and allows the reception of ships transporting up to 160,000 tons.

A strategic position in French ports

SOSERSID, at Fos-sur-Mer, has the particularity of handling bulk, heavy packages and steel, i.e. more than 12.5 Mt per year. This allows it to attract a diverse clientele, on docks that are in principal dedicated to their main user, ArcelorMittal, and propose a competitive industrial outsourcing offer.

STE, the terminal located in Dunkirk, handles 1.5 Mt of steel per year. This company carries out the shipping of products for ArcelorMittal and Dillinger Hütte. The terminal works with CFNR, Compagnie Française de Navigation Rhénane (French Rhine-Shipping Company), which has set up one of its offices there.

STMC6, the operating company of the Le Havre terminal, is dedicated to EDF's thermal power station. This terminal can accommodate vessels of 300 m long, with a capacity of 180,000 tons. It is equipped with 2 cranes with a potential of 30,000 t/day.
The multimode interconnection makes it possible to envisage very significant prospects for growth in several subsidiaries of the ATIC Services Group.
